Helene is forecasted to make landfall on Florida's Big Bend coast as a powerful and potentially catastrophic hurricane with dangerous storm surge and high winds. The National Hurricane Center in Miami warned of the far-reaching impacts of the storm, extending beyond the forecasted path.

In response to the approaching storm, cruise ships like Carnival Paradise, Serenade of the Seas, and MSC Seashore have adjusted their schedules, delaying returns to ports like Tampa and Jacksonville. Passengers booked on upcoming cruises are advised to sign up for alerts for updates on departure times.

Port Canaveral has also seen delays for ships like Utopia of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas, with passengers urged to confirm embarkation details with their cruise lines. However, ports like Galveston, New Orleans, PortMiami, and Port Everglades remain open and operational amid the storm.

Carnival Breeze and Carnival Horizon have altered their itineraries to avoid impacted areas and ensure passenger safety. The cruise industry is taking precautions and making necessary changes to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers and crew amidst the approaching hurricane.
