Coming soon, Norwegian Cruise Line guests will have the opportunity to experience a journey to the moon without the need for actual space travel. The cruise line recently unveiled details about its upcoming ship, Norwegian Luna, set to launch in April 2026 as part of the Prima Plus Class.
Drawing inspiration from the moon's influence on ocean tides, the president of Norwegian Cruise Line, David J. Herrera, expressed excitement about the introduction of Norwegian Luna as a complement to its sister ship, Norwegian Aqua. The ship, designed to accommodate 3,550 guests at double occupancy, will embark on round-trip Caribbean cruises from Miami, Florida. The initial itineraries will include stops at various tropical destinations in the Western and Eastern Caribbean.
Featuring stunning hull art by street artist ELLE titled "La Luna," measuring 1,056 feet in length, Luna promises to provide a unique visual experience for guests from the moment they step onboard. The ship will offer a range of innovative amenities, including a combination waterslide and roller coaster, specialty restaurants, a digital sports complex turned nightclub, and other exciting features to enhance the guest experience.
Norwegian Cruise Line plans to reveal more details about Luna's onboard experiences in the coming year. Prices for available itineraries start at $1,394 per person based on double occupancy, including meals, select beverages, and more.
