Updates to the States Department List of Travel Advisories

It is unusual to see Western European nations on the State Department’s list of travel alerts, but recent events have changed that.

England, Italy, and Denmark have all been added to the list in the past month due to a threat of terrorism. These countries are now at a “Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution” advisory, urging travelers to be more vigilant. While the State Department is not advising against travel to these countries, they are warning that terrorists could strike without warning at various locations.

Israel has recently escalated its conflict with Hezbollah, leading to impromptu explosions in places like markets. Tourists are reminded to stay alert and aware of their surroundings.

Additional countries with Level 2 advisories include Lesotho, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Tanzania, and Mexico. These warnings serve as a reminder for travelers to exercise caution when visiting these areas.
