✈️ Pack Smart, Fly Smooth: What You Can Bring in Your TSA Carry-On

When it comes to breezing through airport security, knowing what you can pack in your carry-on is half the battle. Whether you're jetting off to a tropical escape or heading to a cruise port, here’s your go-to guide for TSA-approved carry-on items.

๐Ÿงณ Carry-On Basics
- Bag Size: Most airlines allow one carry-on bag (typically 22" x 14" x 9") and one personal item like a backpack or purse.
- Liquids Rule: Stick to the 3-1-1 rule—liquids, gels, and aerosols must be in containers 3.4 oz or less, all fitting in one quart-sized clear zip-top bag.
- Medications & Baby Items: Prescription meds, baby formula, and breast milk are exempt from the liquid rule but must be declared at screening.

๐Ÿงผ Toiletries You Can Bring
- Travel-size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste
- Deodorant (stick or solid form preferred)
- Makeup (powder and solid forms are fine; liquids must follow 3-1-1)

๐Ÿซ Snacks & Food
- Solid foods like sandwiches, granola bars, fruit, and chips are allowed.
- Liquid or gel-like foods (yogurt, peanut butter) must follow the 3-1-1 rule unless medically necessary.

๐Ÿ”Œ Electronics & Essentials
- Phones, tablets, laptops (must be screened separately)
- Chargers, power banks (lithium batteries must be in carry-on)
- Travel pillows, books, headphones

๐Ÿšซ Leave These Behind
- Firearms (unless properly packed in checked baggage)
- Sharp objects like knives or scissors over 4 inches
- Large containers of liquids (over 3.4 oz)

๐Ÿ†• What’s Changing Soon?
TSA may soon relax the liquid restrictions thanks to new scanning tech being piloted at select airports. While the 3.4 oz rule still applies today, keep an eye out for updates that could make packing even easier.
