In Brussels, industrial action on 16 September may impact public transport services, including the metro, trains, and buses, with some lines operating at reduced capacity.
A solidarity rally departing from North train station at 10.30am towards Place du Luxembourg is planned, in support of Audi's Brussels factory workers who are facing potential closure. Additionally, French staff at easyJet have issued an indefinite strike notice starting from 16 September, protesting the airline's decision to close its Toulouse hub. While specific strike dates are still pending, easyJet operations across the country could be affected in the upcoming days and weeks.
In Lisbon, workers at Carris, the company managing buses, trams, and funiculars, intend to strike on 18 September. The strike is scheduled to begin at 10pm the night before and end at midnight, pending negotiations with the transport operator. Essential services for disabled individuals, safety, and emergencies will continue as usual. Furthermore, a 24-hour strike on 20 September may cause delays and cancellations for public transport users in Italy, as employees at bus, tram, and commuter train companies strike over pay and working conditions.
